Primary Purpose:
To lead a team in overseeing the quality assurance processes of the Contract Research Organization (CRO), ensuring compliance and accuracy in documentation.
Job Duties and Responsibilities:
• Team Leadership: Manage and lead a team of quality specialists.
• Documentation Oversight: Ensure accuracy and compliance of documents.
• Quality Assurance Support: Provide leadership in quality assurance activities.
• Record Management: Oversee the maintenance of accurate documentation records.
• Issue Resolution: Lead efforts to address document discrepancies.
• Process Compliance: Ensure adherence to quality and regulatory standards.
• Continuous Learning: Stay informed about industry regulations and best practices.
• Collaboration: Work with cross-functional teams to support quality initiatives.
Experience:
Bachelor’s degree in chemistry or related Scientific field with 6-8+ years’ experience is required -OR- Master's Degree or equivalent in Chemistry or related Scientific field with 5+ years' experience is required -OR- Ph.D. or equivalent in Chemistry or related Scientific field with 2+ years’ experience is required.
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:
• Basic understanding of quality assurance principles.
• Familiarity with regulatory requirements in the research industry.
• Strong leadership and team management skills.
• Detail-oriented with a focus on accuracy.
• Effective communication and collaboration skills
Preferred Qualifications:
Previous experience working in a CRO, Life Science, Med Device, Pharma, or Healthcare
Working Conditions:
This position is regularly performed in an in-person office environment, which means the physical surroundings are generally pleasant and comfortable with minimal exposure to injury or other hazards, with a moderate level of noise. Prolonged periods of sitting and looking at a computer screen with freedom of movement on a regular basis are expected. Minimal physical effort is required but could include repetitive motion of wrists and fingers; talking and hearing; and handling of light materials and supplies. This position will require less than 10% travel.
